Athip Thumvichit is an Assistant Professor of Education at the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Mahidol University, where he teaches graduate courses in language teaching. He also serves as Secretary of Thailand TESOL, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing professional expertise in English language teaching nationwide. He earned his PhD in English language teaching from the Language Institute, Thammasat University. His teaching and research focus on language teaching methods, English for Specific Purposes, and psychology for language teaching and learning.
