Course description


Integrating the science of language and intercultural communication to be applied to work effectively and achieve goals, the curriculum has been designed for teaching and learning that allows learners to choose an area of expertise according to their interests in three areas, namely, language teaching, translation and intercultural communication for management. Emphasis is placed on the application of language knowledge and intercultural communication to develop work in a diverse and changing society, including reducing problems arising from language and cultural conflicts. This course not only aims for learners to learn specific theoretical concepts but also focuses on opportunities for students to practice and learn from real situations as they occur. This aim to create graduates who have knowledge and skills in language and intercultural communication in order to apply it for the benefit of oneself and society.

Course Highlights
  • A learning process that aims to develop and prepare students in language and intercultural communication to be ready to work in language teaching, translation and organizational management.

  • Curriculum meets the needs of the modern world by building competitiveness and creating opportunities for students to pursue their careers (e.g. language and communication specialists, language teachers, translators, public relations communicators, communications/marketing strategists, human resource developers in international organizations, private and government sector officers, SMEs, entrepreneurs, etc.)

  • Support from a team of faculty members who are experts and have deep understanding of the changes and diversity of the world, society and students. They have experience in working with people of all generations in the digital age and can help design the learning process (teaching, organizing learning activities, research consulting advice) to develop each student appropriately.

Special Program : 50,000 THB per semester

Remark : The expenditure is the same for all study plans, both for Thai and international students.

*Foreign students entering the Thai program must provide Thai language test results that adhere to the criteria set by the Graduate School.
*Applicants with no English language scores or scores that do not meet the minimum criteria for admission are eligible to apply.

  1. Be a graduate of a bachelor's degree in any field of study from a higher education institution accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission.
  2. Achieved a cumulative grade point average throughout the course of not less than 2.50.
  3. Have English language test results according to the criteria specified by the Graduate School at Mahidol University.
  4. Have relevant work experience of not less than 1 year.
  5. Applicants with qualifications other than the above criteria may be considered for admission at the discretion of the Program Chair and the Dean of the Graduate School.
The application criteria for Plan 2 are the same as those for Plan 1.2.
