Introduction and Focus
“Society, Culture, and Heritage in Asia” Research Group (SCHAR) has emerged as an extension of a pre-existing research group operating within the Thai Cluster of the ASEAN University Network. Collaborating with esteemed institutions such as Mahidol University’s Faculty of Social Sciences, the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies, and external networks associated with Thai research universities, including Thammasat University’s Faculty of Social Work, Kasetsart University’s Faculty of Humanities, and Silpakorn University’s Faculty of Archaeology, this group has maintained a consistent focus on its objectives prior to its formal establishment. The primary aim of this research group is to conduct both fundamental and applied research in order to foster innovation. In doing so, the group strives to establish extensive research networks, both within the country and internationally.
