Yuttaporn Naksuk, Ph.D. is a linguist and a lecturer at Mahidol University in the Research Institute of Languages and Cultures of Asia. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Thai language from Chiang Mai University, a master’s degree in Thai epigraphy from Silpakorn University, and a doctor of philosophy degree in linguistics from Mahidol University. His expertise is in Tai linguistics and their ancient scripts. He conducts research studies on languages and cultures of Tai ethnic groups in Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. He teaches and mentors students in Tai epigraphy, dialectology, historical linguistics, and Burmese language and linguistics.
