Asst. Prof. Dr.Narong Ardsmiti

Narong Ardsmiti educated in Thailand, USA and Australia. He graduated MA in Cultural Studies from Mahidol University, Thailand in 1994 and received a second master’s degree in 2000 from University of Oregon, USA in the field of Asian Studies. He pursued a doctoral degree (Southeast Asian Studies) at the Australian National University, Australia and earned PhD in 2007.

Most of his works involve with ethnicity in contemporary society particular the phenomenon of transnationality, identity, social space and place, cultural acculturation, and marginality. Narong is a regular contributor as a reader to many academic journals and used to be a journal editor of Languages and Cultures Journal. He has also appointed as a Program Secretary of PhD Multicultural Studies since 2012.
