Asst. Prof. Dr.Koraya Techawongstien

Koraya Techawongstien, Ph.D. is a lecturer at the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Mahidol University, Thailand. After graduating from Chinese major, the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University with a second-class honour in 2010, Dr. Koraya pursued her academic degrees in the UK. In 2011, she obtained an MA in Theory and Practice of Translation with Merit from SOAS, University of London, UK and continued her research in Translation Studies at the Centre for Translation, SOAS, University of London where she obtained her doctoral degree from in 2016. Her current research interests cover sociology of translation, translation theory, video games translation/localization and children literature in translation.
