Film synopsis
A young Filipina translator and a middle-aged Japanese director test the limits of language and discover the beauty of understanding during the unlikeliest of times: while creating subtitles for his film in a local Filipino dialect—Ilongo—as they race to finish before the film’s Festival Premiere in the city of Bacolod.

This event is funded by the Asian Cultural Council and is the joint screening programme for: MUIC’s ICFA 337 Thai and ASEAN Cinema, ICFA 339 Film Genre and Gender, and RILCA’s Cultural Studies LCCU 512  Seminar on Contemporary Socio-Cultural Issues.

The director’s interview will be joined by Assoc. Prof.Dr. Brian Bernards (USC, Asian Cultural Council, and RILCA), 
Assist. Prof. Dr. Wikanda Promkhuntong (RILCA) and Aj. Supawan Supaneedis (MUIC)
